Associate with the long-term effects

"In order to change anything, we have to fully associate with the long-term effects of the actions we take rather than the highs of the moment."

NEVER GIVE UP (Yehuda Berg )

We all need someone who will never give up on us.
Be that for the one person in your life who needs it most.

THE POWER OF PERSEVERANCE (Yehuda Berg)

Falling down is never a problem. The problem is staying down.

There are many mantras that can help us through the times we backslide: Get back up on the horse! Pick yourself up, ...dust yourself off! There are no mistakes if we learn from them!

But what about the moments we fall and just plain don’t know how to get up?

At some point, this happens to all of us. There are moments we can’t seem to find our way out of the darkness. Everything seems wrong. Nothing we have done seems to be working. Nothing feels right.

One of the greatest kabbalists, the Baal Shem Tov taught an incredible secret. If you choose to keep going in times like these, despite your lack of desire or clarity, if you make the choice to forge ahead despite difficult times, eventually you will not only see the reasons why this was a process you had to go through, but you will even see a much greater truth: That you never really fell at all, because it was all part of a much bigger plan.

This is an unbelievable gift! There is a big difference between having faith that everything happens for a reason and actually comprehending those reasons for yourself. It’s only giving up that will keep us from reaching that state of clarity. Perseverance is how we see the bigger picture.

Never give up. Rest if you must – but do not quit!

With perseverance, we will not only have success but also uncover the blessings that lay dormant in our failures.

JUMPING REALITY

There are countless realities, all of which exist at the same time. This is what is known as parallel universes. Which reality we enter is up to us.

Will it be a reality where our friends support us, our family believes in us, and our heart is filled with understanding? Or will it be a reality where the deal never quite closes, we’re always missing the boat, and trouble is never far away?

Both realities exist at the same time. The determining factor is our actions. Ego-driven actions imprison us in chaotic realities. But every moment we resist our reactive responses, we make a quantum jump into a better reality.

ASK THE LIGHT FOR HELP

Sometimes students will come to me with issues or obstacles they are facing, and tell me they have tried everything. They have looked at every angle, exhausted every route trying to find a solution, and still they cannot overcome.

In these instances, many times the one thing they have forgotten is asking the Light for help.

It’s a step most of us miss because it seems too simple to really work, but it’s in the humility of knowing the solutions come from the Creator, and not from ourselves, that we can find the answers to our problems.

It might not take a lot of physical effort, but asking the Light for help is one of the most proactive things we can do.

YOUR MISTAKES ARE BEHIND YOU ( Yehuda Berg )

It’s hard to make the most of today when we are still carrying the burden of guilt from our past. That’s why it’s so important to find the lesson and then to let it go.

Your mistakes are already behind you. Learn from them and keep moving forward.
